PALAKA HOU PLAID AND STRIPE HAND TOWELS - LICHEN
PALAKA HOU PLAID AND STRIPE HAND TOWELS - LICHEN
INDIVIDUALLY SOLD
Handwoven Palaka Hou plaid hand towels showcase a vibrant blend of colors: lichen and hurricane. Known as Hawaiʻi’s Plaid, the Palaka design traditionally uses just two colors. This collection offers both a two-color and a three-color version, where vertical and horizontal yarns are distinct colors along with white. While the original used a twill weave like denim, these towels are made with a plain tabby weave. The addition of the third color gave rise to the name Palaka Hou Plaid, with "hou" meaning "new" in Hawaiian.
